Lawyer, Biography, Carlo Pedersoli,Bud Spencer, italian, actor, Terence Hill

Bud Spencer (born October 31, 1929), born as Carlo Pedersoli, is a famous Italian actor, known for his height 6' 4" (1.93 m) and his past roles in spaghetti westerns. Growing from a successful swimmer in his youth, he later achieved a degree in law, and has registered several patents.

Bud Spencer was born Carlo Pedersoli in Naples (at Santa Lucia). Spencer married Maria Amato in 1960 and together had three children: Giuseppe (1961), Christine (1962) and Diamante (1972).

Spencer established Mistral Air in 1984, but left it to buy a textile mill that produced clothes for children.

He passed away on June 27, 2016 surrounded by his family. He leaves a world in mourning, shy of a cultural icon, a face and name famous around the world, and a body of work that will outlast many generations. Rest in Peace. Grazie, Buddy.

Bud Spencer Swimmer

A successful swimmer in his youth, Spencer was the first Italian to swim the 100 m freestyle in less than one minute. He achieved this on 19 September 1950, when he swam the 100 m in 59.5 s. In the 1951 Mediterranean Games, he won a silver medal in the same 100m freestyle event.

Spencer participated in the 1952 Olympic Games in Helsinki, Finland, reaching the semi-finals in the 100 m freestyle (58.8 s heats, 58.9 s semi final). Four years later, in Melbourne, he also entered the semi-finals in the same category (58.5 s heat, 59.0 s semi final). As a water polo player, he won the Italian Championship in 1954, with S.S. Lazio. His swimming career ended abruptly in 1957.

On 17 January 2005 he was awarded with the Caimano d'oro (Gold Caiman) by the Italian Swimming Federation. On 24 January 2007, he received from the Italian Swimming Federation's president Paolo Barelli, swim and water polo coach diplomas.

Bud Spencer and Terence Hill Western Movies

Bud Spencer's first movie role was that of a member of the Praetorian guard in Quo Vadis, a film shot in Italy, in 1951. During the 1950s and part of the 1960s, Spencer appeared in some Italian films but "his career was strictly minor league until the late 1960s."

Spencer then met Terence Hill, with whom he made a large number of Italian Westerns, including God Forgives... I Don't! (1968), They Call Me Trinity (1971) and Trinity Is STILL My Name! (1972). Hill also acted with him in a number of action films, including Watch Out, We're Mad (1974), Odds and Evens (1978) and Who Finds a Friend, Finds a Treasure (1981). These films gathered popularity for both actors, especially in Europe. They made a total of 19 films together.

Spencer also wrote the complete or partial screenplay for some of his movies. His fan base is particularly large in Europe. Spencer's career slowed down after 1983. In the 1990s he acted in the TV action-drama "Extralarge".

Bud Spencer in Politics

In 2005, Pedersoli entered politics, unsuccessfully standing as regional counselor in Lazio for the Forza Italia party. The reason for entering politics was due to a bequest of the then-Prime Minister, Silvio Berlusconi. Berlusconi was trying to use Spencer's media power to draw in the voters. Spencer has stated: "In my life, I've done everything. There are only three things I haven't been - a ballet dancer, a jockey and a politician. Given that the first two jobs are out of the question, I'll throw myself into politics." The opposition critisized him for engaging in "politica spettacolo" ("showbiz politics").

Every parent is proud when one of their children graduate Law school but when you have five children graduating Law school at the same time... that is something special.

Five sisters from the same mother and father recently graduated from the Nigerian Law School this week and they are generating quite the social media buzz.
One of the sisters, celebrating her siblings and her success, wrote on her Instagram page,“we’re siblings, of the same man and woman; these are not costumes… we’re actually lawyers! All of us 5″
Photographer Jonah Ajigo of Brookmatrix Photography, who documented their achievement on camera, gave a bit of an origin story for the five cheerful looking sisters and their parents. He wrote;
Tor & Berry met about 35 years ago, and they decided to dedicate their lives to God… for a while it seemed like God was just minding his business and ignoring them.
He gave them 5 children, 5 girls… and we all know Nigeria; they don’t think much of the girl child.
Anyway, fast forward a few years and God decided to shut everyone up!!!!! Ladies and gents I’d like to introduce you to the first parents in Nigeria (I stand corrected) who have 5 KIDS, All GIRLS, All LAWYERS!!!

Congratulations ladies. You are stars in your own right!

Miranda Rights Definition

Rights of a Suspect: Miranda Rights Origin

The Miranda warning, which can also be referred to as the Miranda rights, is a right to silence warning given by police in the United States to criminal suspects in police custody (or in a custodial interrogation) before they are interrogated to preserve the admissibility of their statements against them in criminal proceedings.
List,miranda, rights, case, definition, origin, police, warning

The Miranda warning is part of a preventive criminal procedure rule that law enforcement are required to administer to protect an individual who is in custody and subject to direct questioning.

List of miranda rights

Before any interrogation begins, the police must advise the suspect that:

  • they have the right to remain silent;
  • anything the suspect does say can and may be used against them in a court of law;
  • they have the right to have an attorney present before and during the questioning; and
  • they have the right, if they cannot afford the services of an attorney, to have one appointed, at public expense and without cost to them, to represent them before and during the questioning.
The right to counsel include the right to talk to a lawyer before deciding whether to talk to police. If the defendant decides to talk to the police, the right to consult with a lawyer before being interrogated. Defendant also has the right to answer police only through an attorney.

Exceptions to the Miranda rule are: the routine booking question exception; the jail house informant exception and the public safety exception.

What if the Police Fail to Advise Me of My Miranda Rights?

When police officers question a suspect in custody without first giving the Miranda warning, any statement or confession made is presumed to be involuntary, and cannot be used against the suspect in any criminal case. Any evidence discovered as a result of that statement or confession will likely also be thrown out of the case.

History of Miranda rights

Miranda was arrested for the armed robbery of a bank worker.
While in custody of police, Miranda - who had a record for armed robbery, attempted rape, assault and burglary - signed a written confession to the armed robbery. He also confessed to kidnapping and raping an 18-year-old girl 11 days prior to the robbery.

Miranda was convicted of the armed robbery, but his attorneys appealed the case on the grounds that Miranda did not understand that he had the right against self-incrimination. Supreme Court made its landmark Miranda ruling in 1966, Ernesto Miranda's conviction was overturned.

Prosecutors later retried the case, using evidence other than his confession, and he was convicted again. Miranda served 11 years in prison and was paroled in 1972.

Robert Kardashian Biography

Robert Kardashian OJ Simpson Lawyer Biography

Robert George Kardashian (February 22, 1944 – September 30, 2003) was an American attorney and businessman. He became famous as O. J. Simpson's friend and defense attorney during Simpson's 1995 murder trial.
Robert,Rob, Kardashian, OJ Simpson, Lawyer, Biography,attorney,criminal, trial, court,case

Born on February 22, 1944, Robert Kardashian is best remembered as a defense lawyer for O.J. Simpson during Simpson’s 1995 trial. Robert was the son of Armenian-American parents who had a successful meat-packing company. He grew up in Los Angeles where he attended Dorsey High School. He then earned a degree in business administration from the University of Southern California in 1966. and later went on to earn a law degree from University of San Diego.

For nearly a decade, Kardashian worked as a lawyer. He soon switched his focus to business. Kardashian, along with his brother and another investor, started up Radio & Records, a trade publication, in 1973. Around this time, he met and befriended football star O.J. Simpson. The two of them started Juice Inc., a corporation with which they owned and operated several frozen yogurt shops.

When he represented O.J. Simpson in the famous 1995 trial, it was the first time he had served in a court in 20 years. Kardashian sat by Simpson throughout the trial.

In the days following the murders of Nicole Simpson and Ronald Goldman, O.J. Simpson stayed the Kardashian home. The public's first glimpse of Robert Kardashian was when he carried Simpson's garment bag the day Simpson returned to Los Angeles from Chicago. Prosecutors speculated that garment bag may have contained Simpson's bloody clothes and/or the murder weapon, but that was never proven.

When Simpson failed to turn himself in at 11 a.m. on June 17, 1994, Kardashian read a letter by Simpson to the news media. The letter was interpreted by many as a suicide note.

Robert Kardashian is the father of reality stars Kim, Kourtney, and Khloe, and Robert Kardashian, Jr., with his former wife Kris Jenner.

After he divorced Kris Jenner in 1991, Robert was engaged for a period of time to Denice Shakarian Halicki, the widow of movie producer H. B. Halicki. In 1998 he married Jan Ashley. That marriage ended in annulment. Six weeks before he died he married Ellen Pierson (née Markowitz).

Robert Kardashian died of esophageal cancer on September 30, 2003 at the age of 59.
